Scott R. Shinkan received his undergraduate degree from Wabash College in 2002 and graduated from the Valparaiso University School of Law in 2005, where he was Vice President of the student Federalist Society chapter and a judicial extern for Judge Sheldon Gardner of the Cook County Circuit Court Law Division, Tax and Miscellaneous Remedies Section.  He devoted the first two and a half years of his practice in Wisconsin to medical malpractice defense, including birth injury / high risk obstetrics, orthopedics, and cardiac surgery cases.  He moved to Illinois in 2008 and now concentrates his practice in construction litigation, transportation, medical malpractice defense, and personal injury.  He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin.  He remains licensed to practice in both Illinois and Wisconsin.
